Conundrums of Life

Conundrum: Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
One of the most subtle temptations that vexes our lives and pushes us into the Pit of Illusion is the seeming success of the wicked. All around us we see prosperity bestowed on dishonest people; political office or prominent positions won by corrupt people; riches and fame falling to people flaunting the laws of God; virtue is rewarded with stones and vice with silver.

But when we Live in Truth these conundrums of life do not send us into the Pit. They aren’t even a temptation. When we live in Truth we don’t worry about justice for others; we worry about obtaining mercy for ourselves. We concentrate on what we are doing and how we are doing it. We realize that at some point all things will be made right through Jesus Christ and we go on living in peace. We go on doing the very best we can and leave the solutions to life’s puzzles to the Lord to solve.

This is a good point, Sherrie. Thanks, as always, for your insight. :)
